4SD Foundation Open Online Briefings

The 4SD Foundation Open Online Briefings with Dr David Nabarro offer participants an interdisciplinary and people-focused perspective on current world challenges.

They represent an opportunity to explore what living systems leadership means, what working with living systems really looks like and how living systems skills and capabilities play out in real-time through the work we do at 4SD Foundation to address complex issues.

Anyone is welcome to attend the Open Online Briefings, especially those who would like to improve basic competences that are key to living systems leadership:

An ability to encourage groups of people with similar core values to come together around a shared purpose.
To nurture co-creation of the future by wide groups of stakeholders.
To convene design-focused workshops full of diverse participants and to make records of decisions made, incorporating them in business plans.

Each session begins with an overview from Dr David Nabarro, 4SD Foundation’s Strategic Director, and are followed by an interactive discussion with participants. The sessions are an evolution of the COVID-19 Open Online Briefings where David shared updates on the pandemic over 118 sessions from March 2020 – December 2022, based on the analyses and guidance provided by the World Health Organization in his role as Special Envoy to WHO Director-General, Dr Tedros.

In addition to his role as Special Envoy and as our Strategic Director, David is the Co-Director of the Institute of Global Health Innovation at Imperial College London, co-lead of the food workstream and a member of the steering committee for the Global Crisis Response Group on Food, Energy and Finance.
